About the RxPATROL® Theft Report Form

The RxPATROL® Theft Report Form has been created to assist non-law enforcement personnel in accurately and concisely completing a comprehensive theft report.  The report form requests a wide range of relevant information; from crime type (i.e. robbery, burglary and fraud) to suspect description, modus operandi and security resources necessary to deter theft (i.e. CCTV cameras, guards, alarms, reinforced doors and locks, .etc.).

The RxPATROL® Pharmacy Theft Report will be posted on the NADDI Home Page (www.naddi.org) and will be accessible to all Loss Prevention personnel and independent pharmacy owners and managers. A link for the report will also be posted on the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) website (www.ncpanet.org) with direct reporting to RxPATROL®.  Timely incident analysis will reveal trends and schemes that threaten pharmacists and pharmacy personnel.  RxPATROL® will provide the timely information to NADDI for a general broadcast via the NADDI list server, advising law enforcement and pharmacy personnel of the emerging criminal schemes and trends.

By gathering comprehensive information regarding pharmacy theft, RxPATROL® will be able to conduct a virtual vulnerability assessment from a national perspective.  The assessment will reveal a profile of pharmacies most likely to be victimized and why, as well as what physical security assets (i.e. alarms, CCTV cameras, public monitors, reinforced doors, .etc.) are most effective in deterring theft.  A generic version of this information will be published by RxPATROL® and disseminated to law enforcement and the pharmacy community for their use as appropriate.
